We're seeking a highly motivated people focused Superintendent Mine Water Management to lead the Water Operations team at our Marandoo operations. Provide leadership in safely executing Mine Water Managment activities at a site level, ensuring team performance is in line with short to medium term objectives

You'll be part of a supportive team, supported by your Leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. The role operates on a family-friendly 5 days on 2 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off roster, giving you work-life balance, home every weekend.

Reporting to the Manager Mining, you will:

• Adhere to all Rio Tinto standards, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and operational integrity.
• Promote a positive safety culture by actively communicating and encouraging safety-first behaviours across all activities.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing opportunities using Rio Tinto best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and functions to ensure alignment and effective execution of responsibilities.
• Mentor and train team members to build capability and support professional development.
• Maintain active Boundary Level Agreements for infrastructure and stakeholder interfaces.
• Champion E11 and Water Governance by developing and maintaining MoS routines and ensuring water strategy execution.
• Plan and optimise labour and resources for both the Annual and 5-Year Plans, while fulfilling risk and assurance duties.

What you'll bring

• Proven ability in coaching, leading change, and making effective decisions in dynamic operational environments.
• Strong knowledge of mine water management operations, including planning, compliance, and performance optimisation.
• Skilled in measuring, analysing, and reporting on mine water activities to support planning and continuous improvement.
• Experience in building and maintaining a strong safety culture, particularly within mine operations.
• Collaborative leadership style that supports SPCT effectiveness, productivity, and organisational capability.
• Solid understanding of budgeting and cost control, including variance analysis, forecasting, and cost driver management.
• Effective communicator and stakeholder engager, working across teams to ensure alignment and compliance.
• Holds or is working towards a Quarry Manager Certificate, demonstrating commitment to professional development

Where you will be working

The Marandoo mine is located at the foot of Mount Bruce adjacent to the Karijini National Park, 50 km east of the town of Tom Price. Marandoo is known for its picturesque hills and mountain ranges. Our operation currently employs a fly in fly out workforce.
