About the role

As a proactive HV Electrician, you will be responsible for supporting the smooth operation of High Voltage electrical operations of the Defence facilities. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for planned, re-active and preventative maintenance across HV Electrical assets.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, including experience in HV/LV electrical systems, power distribution systems, circuit breakers and control panels as well as comprehensive knowledge of electrical safety procedures and standards. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to national defence capability in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

About you

• Hold a Trade Certificate – Certificate in III Electrotechnology
• Hold a Victorian (A Grade) Electrical licence
• Hold a current High Voltage Operation - H.V. Switching certificate
• Hold a current Australian Drivers licence
• Ability of fault finding on high voltage electrical assets and provide timely reactive maintenance
• Previous experience in completing work orders and verifying tasks in accordance with requirements
• Respectful and inclusive approach to working with diverse communities
• You take pride in delivering high-quality work safely and reliably. You follow established procedures, actively look out for your teammates, and understand that safety is a shared responsibility. You contribute to a culture where safety incidents, near misses, and hazards are reported promptly and constructively.

Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen undertake and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police check.
