Operations Officer

Coex Capital is a new to market specialist prime equipment financier offering a single product (chattel mortgage) with distribution exclusive to accredited commercial finance brokers. Our core borrowers are SMEs in the engineering & construction, mining services, manufacturing, transport and logistics sectors seeking finance for high quality, revenue generating assets.

Our mission is to deliver broker-focused service for equipment finance solutions which respects and values the brokers' relationship with their client, the Coex Capital borrower. This is achieved by providing a predictable and consistent service in a convenient and customer-focused way.

The role:

The Operations Officer is an important role of Coex Capital reporting directly to the Head of Credit and Operations. As a key member of Coex Capital and the Operations Team, the successful candidate is expected to always display the highest levels of professionalism and integrity, demonstrating sound workflow management capability and decision making that balances the needs of Coex Capital's strategy, lenders and shareholders with the strictest adherence to policy and legislative requirements.

Responsibilities:

This role is primarily responsible for processing equipment finance applications. This includes:

• Diligently managing the new application workflow, keying new external broker application details into core systems and verifying application data where required

• Preparing equipment finance loan documentation (chattel mortgage, direct debit authority, privacy consent etc.) in accordance with Coex Capital policy and procedures

• Assessing and processing loan payout, security release and loan statement requests

• Managing enquiries from colleagues, broker introducers, borrowers and third parties

• Maintaining close working relationships with internal and external Stakeholders

• Adhering to and monitoring of SLAs  consistent with established policies, procedures and Coex Capital's funding and shareholder obligations

• Inputting, checking, and updating of data into core systems ensuring accuracy of all information

• Working as part of a collaborative and inclusive team

• Other operational tasks as may be delegated from time to time

Experience:

• 2-3 years Operations experience, preferably in a Banking or Finance environment

• Current or previous Equipment Finance operations experience will be viewed favourably

• Experience in dealing with external stakeholders such as finance brokers

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills

• Preparedness to manage broker communications verbally in the first instance

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

• Familiarity with Salesforce and/or DocuSign is advantageous

• Effective workflow management and decision-making skills

• Very high attention to detail

• Able to work with minimal oversight and maintain commitment to timelines, policies and processes

• Ability to investigate, problem solve and follow up queries

• Flexibility – being willing and able to help in other areas as required

• Able to apply a continuous improvement approach to all responsibilities – always looking for a better way to do things
