Excel Logistics Pty. Ltd. has been awarded the contract in Melbourne to handle, store and dispatch Chery Motor Vehicles.
This position will see the right candidate, based in our yard in Amberley, drive cars into storage positions, check off against packing lists and move cars to dispatch positions.
The role includes:
- Vehicle Handling & Yard Operations – Safely move, park, and organize vehicles within the storage yard, ensuring efficient use of space.
- Inspection & Record-Keeping – Conduct basic vehicle checks, report damages, and maintain accurate yard logs or inventory records.
- Equipment & Safety – Operate basic yard equipment (only standard drivers license necessary) and follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Teamwork & Communication – Work closely with truck drivers, operators and head office, to coordinate vehicle movements and yard activities.
- Outdoor Work – Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment, with manual handling tasks and varying weather conditions.
- Knowledge of stock management systems and computer literacy an advantage.
The daily handling of the cars ebbs and flows as trucks arrive, with some days busy and other days relaxed
No age minimum or limit or experience required, simply looking for someone that is happy to work autonomously, moving cars safely in a car yard and ensuring check offs are completed
