About the role

Auscot Transport Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced HR Truck Driver to join our small dynamic team based in Brendale, Queensland. This full-time position is responsible for the safe and efficient transport of goods to Trade Warehouses across Queensland. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play an integral role in ensuring the timely delivery of essential supplies to our valued clients. This position will be based out of a modern DC Facility in Brendale.

What you'll be doing

  1. Operate heavy rigid vehicles safely and responsibly in accordance with all relevant traffic regulations and company policies
  2. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain the highest standards of safety and compliance
  3. Liaise with dispatchers and clients to ensure on-time delivery of goods
  4. Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and documentation
  5. Provide exceptional customer service and be a positive ambassador for the company
  6. Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles as required
  7. Maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of your assigned vehicle

What we're looking for

  1. A current Open HR driver's licence with a clean driving record
  2. Relevant experience as a Truck Driver in the road transport industry
  3. Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen, as well as a criminal history check
  4. Strong understanding of heavy vehicle operations, load restraint and safety practices
  5. Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
  6. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  7. Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
  8. Willingness to work flexible hours
