Emergency Services Officer

WorkPac is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Emergency Services Officer (ESO) for a short-term contract at Yarrabee Mine, located near Blackwater in Central Queensland. This is a Drive-In Drive-Out (DIDO) role with all meals and accommodation provided on site.

Assignment Details:
  • Location: Yarrabee Mine (near Blackwater, QLD)
  • Dates: Ongoing
  • Shifts: 12-hour shifts – day and night
  • Roster: Casual contract with opportunity for future ongoing work
  • Travel: DIDO – travel time not paid
  • Meals and accommodation provided on site
  • Pay: Above award flat rates + overtime/callout where applicable

What You Will Need:
  • Coal Board Medical (Section 4) for Emergency Responder roles (must be current)
  • Standard 11 – Surface Induction
  • Certificate III in Mines Rescue or higher
  • HLTPAT005 – Collect specimens for drug testing
  • RIIVEH201E – Operate a light vehicle on mine sites
  • PUAEME005A – Administer emergency first aid medications
  • Minimum 12 months experience working in the mining industry

Duties Will Include:
  • Provide onsite emergency medical response
  • Assist the Emergency Response Team (ERT)
  • Operate the site ambulance and fire truck
  • Conduct drug and alcohol testing
  • Support inductions, emergency drills, and safety procedures
  • Perform gatehouse and security duties as required
