The Role:

The Manager Freight Operations & Logistics oversees all physical operations at the Bathurst facility. Reporting directly to the Directors, you will ensure efficient site performance through strategic resource planning and smooth day-to-day execution. You will identify risks, highlight improvement opportunities, and provide actionable insights that inform strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement across the site.

Duties:

  • Oversee physical site operations of incoming and outgoing equipment, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with our private rail service provider.
  • Customer collaboration with achieving rail freight capacity targets.
  • Collaborate closely with the onsite leadership team, receiving strategic guidance and support to drive operational success.
  • Participate in the recruitment process, including interviewing and assisting in the selection of new team members.
  • Continuously optimize silo storage and functionality to enhance operational efficiency on locally grown daily inbound grain deliveries.
  • Demonstrated a hands-on leadership style by actively guiding site operations and fostering team engagement to achieve operational excellence.
