Position Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic E-Commerce Manager to take full ownership of the day-to-day operations of Home Blinds Australia. This role is critical to our growth strategy and requires a hands-on, results-driven professional who can manage all aspects of our online business—from sales and marketing to customer support and product ordering. The primary focus is driving revenue growth while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Revenue Growth (40% of role)
- Develop and implement comprehensive e-commerce strategies to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
- Identify growth opportunities across product categories, customer segments, and marketing channels.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to maintain competitive positioning.
- Create and execute promotional campaigns, seasonal sales, and special offers.
- Continuously analyze and optimize conversion rates across the customer journey.
- Implement strategies to increase Average Order Value (AOV) through upselling, cross-selling, and product bundling.
- Develop and execute customer retention programs to maximize Customer Lifetime Value (CLV).
- Manage pricing strategies to balance competitiveness with profitability.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports with actionable insights.
- Forecast revenue and set realistic targets based on historical data and market conditions.
- Present performance updates and strategic recommendations to business leadership.
2.
Digital Marketing & Traffic Generation (25% of role)
- Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns across SEO, SEM, email, and social media.
- Manage Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram advertising, and other paid media channels.
- Optimize website content and product listings for search engine visibility.
- Develop and maintain email marketing campaigns to nurture leads and drive repeat purchases.
- Oversee product photography, descriptions, and visual merchandising on the website.
- Ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints.
- Collaborate with external agencies or freelancers for specialized marketing needs.
- Monitor and respond to online reviews and customer feedback.
- Track and analyze marketing performance metrics (ROAS, CAC, CTR, engagement rates).
- Conduct A/B testing on campaigns, landing pages, and product pages.
- Use Google Analytics and other tools to derive actionable insights.
- Continuously refine marketing strategies based on data-driven findings.
3.
Customer Support & Experience (15% of role)
- Oversee and manage customer inquiries via phone, email, live chat, and social media.
- Ensure timely, professional, and empathetic responses to all customer communications.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues effectively, turning challenges into positive experiences.
- Implement systems and processes to improve response times and service quality.
- Map and optimize the entire customer journey from awareness to post-purchase.
- Identify and eliminate friction points in the browsing, purchasing, and delivery process.
- Collect and analyze customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Implement strategies to increase customer satisfaction scores and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
4.
Operations & Order Management (15% of role)
- Manage product listings, descriptions, pricing, and availability across the website.
- Coordinate with suppliers to maintain optimal inventory levels and prevent stockouts.
- Monitor stock movement and identify slow-moving or discontinued products.
- Ensure product data accuracy and consistency across all platforms.
- Oversee the order processing workflow from purchase to delivery.
- Coordinate with fulfillment partners and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor delivery performance and address shipping issues promptly.
- Manage returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with company policies.
- Manage the product sampling program for customers who need to see/feel products before purchasing.
- Ensure samples are dispatched within 48 hours of request.
- Track sample requests and conversion rates to optimize the program.
- Balance sample costs with conversion effectiveness.
5.
Website & Platform Management (5% of role)
- Maintain and optimize the e-commerce website (Shopify, WordPress, or similar platforms).
- Coordinate with web developers for technical issues, updates, and new feature implementations.
- Ensure website functionality, speed, security, and mobile responsiveness.
- Monitor website uptime and address technical issues promptly.
- Continuously improve website navigation, search functionality, and checkout process.
- Implement best practices for e-commerce UX/UI design.
- Test and optimize for mobile commerce performance.
- Ensure accessibility and compliance with web standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience
- 3-5 years of proven experience in e-commerce management or digital marketing roles.
- Demonstrated success in managing online stores with revenue of $500K-$5M annually.
- Experience with B2C e-commerce in retail, home goods, or related industries.
- Track record of achieving measurable revenue growth and KPI targets.
Technical Skills
- Proficient with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, or similar).
- Strong understanding of digital marketing across SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media.
- Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager.
- Comfortable with data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Google Data Studio, etc.).
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and website management (not coding required).
Marketing & Sales Skills
- Proven ability to drive traffic and conversions through multi-channel marketing.
- Experience with conversion rate optimization (CRO) and A/B testing.
- Strong understanding of customer journey mapping and UX principles.
- Ability to develop and execute promotional campaigns and pricing strategies.
Operational Skills
- Experience managing customer service teams or processes.
- Understanding of inventory management, order fulfillment, and logistics.
- Ability to coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and third-party service providers.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
Analytical Skills
- Data-driven decision-making approach with strong analytical capabilities.
- Ability to interpret metrics and translate insights into action.
- Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis.

- Knowledge of Australian e-commerce market and consumer behavior.

What We Offer
Compensation Package
- Base Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per annum (dependent on experience), competitive for regional NSW market.
- Superannuation: 11.5% of salary (mandatory under Fair Work Act 2009).
- Performance Bonus: 5-15% of base salary based on KPI achievement; tied to revenue growth, conversion rate, and operational targets; reviewed quarterly with annual payout. Potential additional earnings of $4,500 - $15,000.
Total Compensation
- $95,200 - $126,500 per annum (including super and bonus estimates).
