Summary:

As a Security Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure systems and infrastructure. You'll work collaboratively across IT, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure environments remain resilient, compliant, and aligned with security best practices. This EOI is to identify potential candidates for upcoming security engineering roles supporting both commercial and government clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement security controls, tools, ad frameworks across systems and networks.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, remediation, and continuous monitoring.
  • Assist with incident detection, response, and forensic investigations.
  • Develop ad maintain SIEM configurations, alerting, and dashboards.
  • Support compliance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to embed security into infrastructure and development workflows.
  • Document configurations, procedures, and technical risk assessments.

Qualifications:

  • NV1 Security Clearance or higher.
  • Experience in endpoint and network security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR, etc.).
  • Experience in SIEM tools (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel Elastic, etc.).
  • Vulnerability management and hardening practices.
  • Experience in identity and access management (Azure, AD, MFA, SSO, RBAC, etc.).
  • Experience in cloud security across AWS and/or Azure.
  • Scripting or automation for security operations (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
  • Knowledge of common frameworks and standards (NIST, ISM, ISO
