About the Role:

We're seeking a Factory Fibre Termination Technician to join our production team. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for terminating, inspecting, and testing fibre optic assemblies to meet customer and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Terminate and polish a variety of fibre connectors (LC, SC, ST, MPO, etc.)
  • Assemble and test pre-terminated fibre cables and trunk assemblies
  • Perform continuity and insertion loss testing using optical test equipment
  • Maintain quality control standards and accurate production records
  • Assist with cable preparation, labelling, and packaging
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in fibre optic termination or cable assembly (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Ability to read job sheets and work independently or in a team
  • Familiarity with optical test equipment (OLTS, power meter, visual fault locator)
  • Good manual dexterity and a commitment to safety
