About the role

This full-time Hook Truck Driver role at Camilleri Civil Contractors' offers an exciting opportunity to join a leading civil construction company based in Mulgrave, NSW. As a Hook Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe operation and transportation of equipment and materials across various job sites, playing a crucial role in the successful delivery of Camilleri Civil Contractors' projects.

What you'll be doing

  1. Safely operate and manoeuvre a hook truck to transport equipment, materials to and from job sites
  2. Conduct daily pre-start checks and inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal working condition
  3. Adhere to all relevant safety policies, procedures and traffic regulations to ensure the safe transportation of loads
  4. Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment such as small excavators, etc
  5. Communicate effectively with site supervisors and the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of materials

What we're looking for

  1. Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence
  2. Extensive experience (minimum 3 years) operating hook trucks or similar heavy vehicles
  3. Demonstrated ability to safely manoeuvre and operate heavy machinery and equipment
  4. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle unexpected situations
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders
  6. Commitment to following safety protocols and procedures
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
