About you
As a Casual Teaching Sessional at the School of Management, your responsibilities could include contributing to assessment design, sharing student feedback, engaging with the teaching team, attending meetings, and handling administrative tasks such as course coordination and responding to student queries. The role may involve independent teaching at various academic levels, delivering curriculum content, and managing assessments.
The volume, nature and availability of sessional teaching will vary based on the needs of the school including course offerings, timetabling and student demand.

We are looking for applicants who:
• Have a track-record of teaching excellence
• Are passionate about education and improving the student experience
• Love working in a team but also work well independently and proactively
• Possess a relevant postgraduate qualification (Masters level for teaching undergraduate courses; PhD for teaching post-graduate courses)
• Are available to teach face-to-face in our City campus
Targeted skills and experience desirable for these casual sessional roles are:
• IT Business Analysis: experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, and translating user needs into practical specifications (e.g. user stories, acceptance criteria).
• IT Project Management: familiarity with PMI methodology and/or Agile/Scrum delivery, backlog management, and stakeholder engagement, with an understanding of governance and risk.
• Innovation & Digital Strategy: familiarity with design thinking, lean startup, or product management approaches; ability to link emerging technologies to digital business strategy, technology adoption, and organisational transformation.
• Digital Transformation & Business Models: understanding of how emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, cloud, IoT) reshape business models, ecosystems, and value chains.
• Strategic Foresight & Technology Futures: ability to apply scenario planning, technology road-mapping, or horizon scanning to anticipate shifts in markets and technologies.
• Commercialisation & Entrepreneurship: familiarity with go-to-market strategies, IP considerations, and scaling digital ventures (corporate or startup context).

Selection Criteria
• Teaching and/or recent working experience in the area(s) as mentioned above is essential. Industry experience will be advantageous.
• Experience in and evidence of teaching excellence in Higher Education at an undergraduate and/or postgraduate level. This includes expertise in online deliveries and the use of teaching technology
• Demonstrated the capacity to work effectively and negotiate sensitively with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills appropriate for interacting with a diverse student body, the course team, staff and industry with a commitment to collegiality and teamwork.
• Undertaken or currently enrolled in a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Education will be highly regarded
