Café Cook/Chef Wanted

Join Our Energetic Team

We're a busy shipping container café serving a very fast-paced crowd of construction workers in Laverton. We're looking for an experienced Cook/Chef who enjoys both kitchen work and customer interaction.

Your Role:

  • Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch items
  • Operate deep fryers and basic kitchen equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace
  • Provide friendly, face-to-face customer service
  • Assist with general café duties and POS operation
  • Manage stock and place orders

About You:

  • Proven experience in a fast-paced café kitchen
  • Minimum 1-2 years of café kitchen experience required
  • Confident with deep frying and cooking skills
  • Great communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable, independent, and detail-oriented
  • Able to start at 4:45 AM in Laverton or Brooklyn
  • Australian work rights required for this position

  • Competitive hourly rate
  • Full-time estimated hours: Mon–Fri 4:45 AM–1:30 PM, Sat 5:45 AM–12:30 PM
  • Set roster year-round – closed on construction RDOs and shutdowns
  • Sunday's and almost every second Monday Off
