About the role

CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay is entering an exciting phase of growth and development. We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance across our diverse property portfolio.

This hands-on role is critical to ensuring our facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong team leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality asset management in accordance with safety standards and operational requirements.

Exceptional customer service skills are essential, as you'll be engaging with vulnerable individuals within the community, external contractors, and CatholicCare teams in a supportive and professional environment.

Location: Based in Wyong, travel across Northern Sydney and the Central Coast required

Classification: Permanent Full Time

Days: Monday to Friday

Times: 7:30am to 3:30pm - After hours and emergency support work may occasionally be required

Pay: $110kp.a. + Super + Salary Packaging+ Ute

Duties

• Coordinate a team to deliver planned and reactive maintenance across our assets, promoting safety, compliance and ensuring fit for purpose.
• Ensure that work complies with building regulations as well as other legal requirements.
• Undertake daily work including utilisation of trade skills to perform maintenance tasks in a hands-on, "on the tools" way as required.
• Maintain a daily, accurate record keeping of work; Location, Time, Description of work/tasks.
• Review and approve subcontractor progress claims in line with delegations, while monitoring budget variations and reporting financial concerns.
• Manage stakeholder engagement, project planning, and asset delivery to meet requirements, timelines, and "Fit For Purpose" standards.

Requirements

• Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent/ other trade qualifications.
• 2 years' experience supervising construction projects, including work in high-risk and vulnerable environments.
• Working with Children's Check and a NDIS Worker Check.
• Current NSW Driver's Licence and access to an insured vehicle.
• Construction Induction (White Card).

Highly regarded

• Building licence preferrable but not mandatory.
• Cert IV in Building and construction.
• Hold high-risk work licences with experience operating in high-risk environments, including working at heights.
• Experience in WHS, Quality and Environmental systems and recording.
