About the Organisation

About the Role

As Farm 2IC, you'll support the Farm Operations Manager and owners by:

  • Preparing and managing staff rosters and coordinating the team
  • Supporting herd health, reproduction, and young stock performance
  • Overseeing farm systems including feed, irrigation, and infrastructure
  • Stepping into management when the Ops Manager is off-farm
  • Contributing to farm performance through weekly meetings, reporting, and business input

Selection Criteria

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Experience in dairy operations and herd management
  • Confidence in preparing rosters and leading staff
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Good communication skills with the ability to support both staff and management
  • Understanding of farm KPIs and profit drivers, and linking daily operations to financial performance
  • A proactive, reliable, and accountable approach
  • Alignment with our values
