About the Role

We're seeking a highly organised and detail-driven External Production Planner to join a growing operation in Wetherill Park.

This full-time position is offered as a 3-month contract with a strong view to permanency. In this role, you'll manage the coordination of third-party products, including prefabricated materials and threading components, ensuring timely delivery to meet project deadlines.

You'll work closely with planning, procurement, and logistics teams, as well as suppliers and customers. If you have a background in inventory, logistics, and invoice reconciliation, and experience with accounting or finance processes -this role offers the perfect mix of hands-on coordination and analytical work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Forecast material needs based on job schedules
  • Raise and track purchase orders, ensuring alignment with lead times
  • Coordinate third-party deliveries to site or customers
  • Oversee inspection of delivered goods and manage any supplier discrepancies
  • Track delivery status in internal systems (D365, Smart Sheets, Laserfiche)
  • Obtain and reconcile Proof of Delivery (POD) with invoices and purchase orders
  • Approve supplier invoices for processing
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across logistics, sales, and planning teams
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and complete customer deliveries

About You

  • 2+ years' experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain
  • Accounting or invoice reconciliation experience highly valued
  • ERP systems experience (e.g., Microsoft D365, SAP)
  • Strong Excel skills for reporting and data analysis
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Clear communicator with strong stakeholder coordination skills
  • Ability to work independently and thrive under pressure
  • Experience in steel, manufacturing, or construction (desirable)
