About the role

This is a full-time role based in Moorebank NSW with Allcott Hire, a leading provider of equipment and services in the Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics industry. As a Driver/Yard Person, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our equipment hire business.

What you'll be doing

  • Safely and responsibly driving vehicles to deliver and collect equipment for customers
  • Loading and unloading equipment and materials using appropriate equipment
  • Performing yard duties such as stock control, inventory management and equipment maintenance
  • Providing excellent customer service and liaising with customers to ensure their satisfaction
  • Assisting with general yard operations and contributing to a safe work environment

What we're looking for

  • A current and valid driver's licence, ideally with experience driving light rigid vehicles
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team
  • Familiarity with operating machinery and equipment, or the ability to learn quickly
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • A commitment to safety and a willingness to follow all policies and procedures
