Position Summary:

The Store Person plays a key support role in project delivery by ensuring Workshop teams, Project Managers and field teams have timely access to the materials, equipment, and tools they need. This role involves coordinating procurement and inventory, preparing project kits, managing deliveries to site, and maintaining accurate stock records. The Store Person helps streamline project workflows by reducing delays, maintaining organisation within the warehouse, and supporting cost control through efficient stock management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Project Managers to prepare and allocate materials and equipment for upcoming jobs.
  • Coordinate project material orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to site or workshop.
  • Receive, inspect and verify incoming deliveries against project requirements and purchase orders.
  • Maintain organised storage of project materials for easy access, tracking, and traceability.
  • Prepare project kits and documentation for site teams, ensuring completeness and readiness.
  • Monitor stock levels on frequently used job materials and notify Project Managers of shortages.
  • Assist with procurement follow-ups and liaise with suppliers to resolve delivery or quality issues.
  • Track and record material allocation against job numbers for accurate project costing.
  • Manage returns, warranty claims, and repair processes for tools and equipment used on projects.
  • Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely to assist with loading and unloading deliveries.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse that supports project operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and project delivery procedures.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • A strong work ethic.
  • Victorian car license.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • -an energetic individual who shows initiative and commitment with a desire to achieve.
  • Previous experience in a storeman or warehouse role (electrical industry preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of electrical components and tools. (preferred).
  • Forklift license (preferred)
  • Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., simPRO, or similar).
