This is a pivotal opportunity to shape the future of diversity and inclusion across our organisation with key projects in gender equality and aboriginal employment.
You'll lead meaningful change, influence senior stakeholders, and embed inclusive practices that make a real impact. Working closely within our People & Culture team, you'll bring our Diversity and Inclusion to life - turning strategies into actions and values into everyday experience.
For further information on the position, please refer to the attached position description. This is a Part-time (0.4 FTE) Fixed term role for two years.
What you bring- Proven experience in a Diversity and Inclusion focused role.
- Proven experience developing new, and refreshing existing, Actions Plans.
- An understanding of intersectionality, inclusive leadership, and compliance frameworks.
- Strong understanding of reporting requirements under the Gender Equality Act 2020 (Vic).
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
- A passion for creating equitable systems and a workplace where everyone can thrive.
- Lead the development and delivery of our next Gender Equality Action Plan and reporting.
- Undertake a review of the existing strategy and identification of critical focus areas.
- Lead the execution of initiatives aligned with business priorities and aspirations.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to co-design impactful initiatives.
- Use data and insights to identify barriers and track progress on our diversity and inclusion goals.
- Represent Seymour Health at external forums and networks, whilst engaging in shared learning from others.
- Draft inputs for Board and Compliance reporting (e.g. GEAP) and track progress of reporting and initiatives.

Seymour Health is a leading small rural health service. At our site in central Seymour, over 300 staff deliver health and allied services.
Our services include a 30-bed public hospital that provides public and private Acute medical and surgical, renal dialysis and day procedures. Seymour Health's breadth of services extends to post-acute care, palliative care, sub-acute ambulatory service, oral health services, district nursing and community services. Barrabill House is a 40-bed residential aged care service that provides highly rated residential aged care.
Seymour Health is conveniently located an hour north of Melbourne via the M31 Hume Freeway and V/Line train service.
