Are you an experienced Registered Nurse looking to join a friendly and supportive team?
gastrotrACT is Canberra's largest gastroenterology consulting practice, located in Garran on the grounds of The Canberra Hospital. We provide administrative and nursing support the private practice of 9 consulting Gastroenterologists.
We are looking for a Clinic and Pre-admission Nurse to work alongside the doctors, ensuring the smooth running of their practice.
You will be educating patients for their upcoming procedures and managing the doctors' clinical practice. Your position will involve working closely with the Gastroenterologist as well as the other members of our team. From time to time you may be required to assist with cover for other nursing staff on leave.
We pride ourselves in supporting the doctors to provide the best possible care to their patients, ensuring all needs are met.
No previous gastroenterological experience required as we provide on the job training, and value ongoing education.
We are looking for someone with:
· Minimum 2 years post graduate clinical experience as a Registered Nurse
· Outstanding organisation and time management skills
· Exceptional communication skills
· Patient centred focus
· Ability to maintain high level documentation
· Positive teamwork & collaboration
· The right to work in Australia
What we are offering:
· Minimum 4 days a week – up to full time hours
· Above award remuneration
· weeks annual leave (prorated for part time)
· No weekends, after hours or public holidays
