About the role

As a Freedom of Information (FOI) Officer, you'll play an important part in supporting transparent, accountable and person-centred services across CALHN. In this role, you will provide administrative support and manage applications under the FOI (SA) Act 1991, ensuring enquiries and requests are handled within legislated timeframes. You'll be a friendly and customer-focused first point of contact for FOI enquiries, helping community members navigate the process with confidence and clarity.

You will also offer practical advice to staff and the public on matters relating to FOI applications, privacy enquiries and the release of information. A key part of your work will involve supporting compliance with the Information Privacy Principles and relevant legislation, contributing to safe, consistent and respectful information management across the network. About You

You're an organised, customer-focused professional who enjoys supporting others and keeping things running smoothly. You take pride in delivering accurate, timely work and communicating with warmth and confidence.

  • Strong administrative capability, with experience providing efficient support services, using Microsoft Office programs, and navigating patient administration systems such as Sunrise and OACIS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to work effectively with consumers, staff, external agencies and the public both in person and over the phone.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and work confidently with limited supervision while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A commitment to customer service, demonstrating an understanding of consumer needs and delivering a professional, responsive and positive experience in every interaction.
