Greater Adelaide SA, Australia Dayforce Full time

Dayforce is a global human capital management (HCM) company headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, and Minneapolis, Minnesota, with operations across North America, Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA), and the Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) region.

Our award-winning Cloud HCM platform offers a unified solution database and continuous calculation engine, driving efficiency, productivity and compliance for the global workforce.

Our brand promise - Makes Work Life Better- Reflects our commitment to employees, customers, partners and communities globally.

About the opportunity

We are looking for early-career professionals to join our Services Consulting team as a Principal Workforce Management (WFM) Consultant. In this role, you'll be working with our enterprise clients to implement Dayforce HCM — focusing on time, attendance, scheduling, and labor rules that directly impact how organizations manage their people.

This is not a traditional administrative role. It is a challenging, fast-paced consulting position where you'll be empowered to solve real business problems, work directly with clients, and translate complex requirements into smart, scalable solutions using technology. If you're adaptable, curious, and excited to grow into a client-facing, systems-focused role — we want to hear from you.

The Principal Service Consultant guides the overall design and delivery of the Dayforce HCM solution to meet customer requirements and provides oversight and direction to project team members in the execution of project activities in all stages of the implementation lifecycle (planning, discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, post go-live support).

The Principal Service Consultant works closely with the Project Manager to plan the project and identify critical dependencies. Project responsibilities include facilitation of customer requirements gathering, design of the Dayforce solution to meet documented customer requirements, setting and managing customer expectations, providing guidance and design/configuration oversight to other project resources, identifying risks and communicating issues to the Project Manager.

What you'll get to do

Implementations

  • Support the project team in the validation of customers' business requirements and mapping to Dayforce functionality
  • Design and document innovative solutions to solve customers' business needs
  • Guide the configuration of the Dayforce application to meet customer's business requirements
  • Act as subject matter expert (SME) on strategic implementations
  • Lead internal project meetings and provide status on progress of activities and deliverables
  • Work as part of a project team to implement Dayforce Workforce Management modules for enterprise customers across Australia, New Zealand, and beyond.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand business rules related to time tracking, scheduling, compliance, and labor policies.
  • Design, configure, and test WFM solutions that meet client-specific needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshoot configuration issues and think critically about root causes and resolution paths.
  • Participate in client workshops, internal design reviews, and testing cycles.

Initiatives

  • Design and document solutions and contribute to a solutions repository
  • Document best practices and share with the Practice
  • Lead the subject matter expert (SME) program across all Dayforce modules (WFM, Payroll, GL, Talent)
  • Regularly participate in internal process improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to internal knowledge share; review questions and provide feedback on a continuous basis

Continuous Learning

  • Participate in Continuing Education sessions; lead Implementation best practice Sessions
  • Be fully versed on new and/or enhanced functionality in each product release
  • Mentor consultants on best practice implementation of new product features and functionality, including new customer end to end implementations
  • Support the sales cycle through solution review and feedback and assistance with scoping and estimation
  • Participate in prospect discussions regarding solution overview and implementation considerations

Skills and experience we value

This is not a routine, step-by-step administrative job — it's a dynamic and hands-on role that will stretch your thinking and build your consulting capability. It's suited to individuals who want variety, challenge, and the opportunity to grow into a trusted advisor role.

You might be:

  • A professional with 10+ years of experience in consulting and implementations and / or with HCM applications.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Master's degree or post graduate.
  • 5+ years in Consultant role with Dayforce HCM
  • A problem solver who thrives in ambiguity, loves digging into how systems work, and wants a role that is both structured and creative.

What would make you really stand out

  • Good understanding of ANZ legislation such as LSL / NZ HA etc.
  • Strong communicator – can hold their own in customer conversations, and switch between technical and business language.
  • Structured thinker – breaks problems into parts, asks the right questions, and builds logical paths forward.
  • Technically curious – excited to learn new systems, play with configuration tools, and understand how data flows. Strong understanding of relational DB's and SQL.
  • Adaptable and proactive – thrives in evolving environments and knows how to stay productive in uncertainty.
  • Client-focused – enjoys working with people, solving real-world problems, and making complex things simple.
