The Role

As a Principal Automation Consultant, you will lead presales, engagement and technical strategy with our client base. With proven technical domain experience, you'll leverage your expertise to articulate, plan and deliver market leading solutions for Planit customers in the Test Automation space. Success in this position requires the ability to knowledgeably communicate Planit's automation solutions in clear, compelling language to other executive and C-suite leaders that demonstrate commercial value to existing and new Planit customers.

Underpinning the above, you'll also hold senior experience across operational automation testing, including test analysis & design, automation test management, including process optimisation, alongside technical competency with automation solutions and test delivery (TOSCA, Selenium, Java, Playwright, HP-UFT), and scripting capabilities (Javascript, VBScript), with exposure to CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GIT, JIRA, ALM).

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership: Lead hybrid teams (on-site, remote, offshore), manage senior client relationships, ensure delivery excellence across KPIs, and act as the client's go-to for quality solutions. Provide senior coverage and support across accounts during peak demand or leadership absences.
• Account Growth & Relationship Building: Work with the Account Director and GM to enhance client engagement, provide executive-level consultation, and co-develop roadmaps for growth, including pre-sales solution design.
• Enterprise Solutions & Innovation: Champion innovative strategies including Automation, Performance, Security, and AI by collaborating with our Practice Directors and broader leadership team.
• Cross-Capability Engagement: Lead and coordinate automation testing initiatives across all enterprise domains
• Mentorship & Community Engagement: Contribute to QE people leadership, support initiatives like #HerTechPath, and represent Planit at networking and industry events.
