Join Glen Innes Severn Council and help shape the future of our community's youngest members. As our Educator Supervisor, you'll lead engaging programs for children and families in a supportive, collaborative environment.

About the Role

  • Plan and deliver creative activities for children aged 5–12 in Out of School Hours Care, and for families with children 0–5 at outreach playgroups.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that supports every child's development.
  • Build strong partnerships with families and the community, respecting diversity and aspirations.
  • Ensure compliance with education and care standards, acting as Nominated Supervisor and Responsible Person as required.
  • Work as part of a passionate team delivering high-quality childcare services.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Eligibility to be Nominated Supervisor/Responsible Person (ACECQA approved), including an Approved Child Protection Certificate.
  • Experience in children's services and sound knowledge of relevant guidelines and legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Class C Driver's Licence.
  • Ability to meet requirements for Criminal Record, Police, and Working with Children Checks.

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualifications and current first aid certificates.
  • Experience supporting children with disabilities and coordinating playgroups.
  • Experience mentoring staff and managing rosters.
