About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our high-performing team and play a key role in driving the firm's financial strategy, operations, and sustainable growth.

Currently this role has a direct report credit manager based offshore and has scope to manage additional direct reports as the firm continues to grow in the coming years.

Responsibilities include:

  • First port of call for all finance queries
  • Managing monthly payroll and adhoc pay runs where required
  • Entering receipts and payments
  • Reconciling bank accounts
  • Managing the accounts payable function
  • Payment of invoices to external providers
  • Entering credit card transactions and reconciling the statement
  • Managing the firm's Uber account and reconciling
  • Entering Trust transactions and reconciliation of the account
  • Financial and operational reporting to support monthly business reviews
  • Prepare regular cash flow and monthly profit and loss statement
  • Supporting the firm's billing processes
  • Setting up and improving finance systems (e.g. expense management system
  • Developing policies and processes relating to finance

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Minimum 6 years previous experience in a finance role - within law firm is preferred, or other professional services business
  • Excellent attention to detail together with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-developed time management skills
  • A willingness to learn, positive approach and strong initiative.
  • A capacity to maintain focus on the desired outcome of any project
  • Able to communicate with others in a warm and helpful manner while simultaneously building credibility and rapport
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in the MS Office suite
  • Proficiency in Xero, with experience using PowerBI a bonus
  • Ability to define, deploy and delegate processes necessary to support a healthy finance function
