At Eden Academy Footscray, our centre is a special place designed to nurture young minds and hearts, and designed to feel like a home away from home.

Operating from 7:00am to 6:30pm, we offer a nurturing environment with natural play spaces, open-plan rooms filled with natural light, and abundant age-appropriate resources. With both indoor and outdoor play areas, we create the perfect setting for 145 children to explore, grow, and thrive.

About you:Are you an experienced Lead Educator with a heart for high-quality care and inclusive leadership? Your passion for early childhood education shines through in your thoughtfully designed programming, empowering children as independent learners while nurturing their curiosity, resilience, and

self-awareness. Through meaningful interactions, you inspire inquisitive young minds, laying the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.

As a Eden Academy childcare team member you will:

  • Provide a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that supports children's learning and development.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of age-appropriate educational activities.
  • Support the emotional, social and developmental needs of children.
  • Maintain hygiene, health and safety standards in the centre.
  • Build warm and respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Observe, record and report on children's progress and behaviour.

What You'll Bring:To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).
  • A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A passion for working with young children and supporting their growth and development.
  • A professional and friendly personal presentation
  • Confidence and curiosity to build relationships with families and the local community

  • A team-first attitude and a desire to make a difference
  • Full availability to work Monday to Friday and all shift patterns
