Wangarang is a community based, not-for-profit organisation providing job opportunities and support services for people with disabilities in Orange, NSW.

We are seeking a motivated and reliable person to provide support to people with disabilities in areas such as:

  • Social outings
  • Accessing the community
  • Daily living skills
  • Recreational activities

The successful applicant will be comfortable working with people with a range of disabilities in a variety of settings. They will be able to provide support in small groups as well as one to one. Flexibility with hours is required including the ability to start work at 6:30am and/or finish work at 5:30pm. Some weekend work is required.

You will need:

  • An understanding of the special needs of people with disabilities
  • The ability to work within a team environment as well as work independently
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to follow set procedures
  • Certificate III Individual Support or Community Services (or willingness to obtain) or demonstrated equivalent experience
  • A current driver's licence with safe driving record
  • A current first aid certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Check Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
  • Covid-19 vaccination or medical exemption
