About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Director and based at our head office in Wayville, this role will manage our internal audit program, conduct investigations, and deliver insights that help CMV Group continually improve and reduce risk. Working closely with the Audit, Risk & Compliance sub-committee, and collaborating with colleagues across South Australia and Victoria, the Internal Auditor ensures our processes are robust and critical risk areas are being addressed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute internal audit plans for critical risk areas (accounting, finance, payroll, banking, taxation, compliance).
  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports and recommendations for enhancing internal controls.
  • Follow up on action items and present regular reports to the Risk, Audit & Compliance sub-committee.
  • Analyse data from Dealer Management Systems and payroll systems to identify anomalies and potential fraud.
  • Support the CMV Group accounting team and participate in training and development activities.
  • Contribute to process improvement and efficiency gains.

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in an Accounting or Business related field
  • Post graduate CA or CPA qualification highly regarded
  • Proven experience in internal audit
  • Experience working in a franchise / automotive dealership environment highly regarded but not essential
  • Experience providing advice, input and assurance in the evaluation of risk, governance, fraud and other control related practices
  • Exceptional communication skills to build effective working relationships
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Accounting applications
