Since starting in Perth in 2012, CMW Geosciences has expanded to 22 offices with over 300 employees across Australia and New Zealand. We are hard-working, down-to-earth, and passionate group of professionals who provide quality geotechnical site investigation, analysis, and design advice to the construction, infrastructure, and energy sectors.

Our Geophysics department is based in our Sydney office, situated in North Ryde. The team of five works on projects throughout Australia, predominantly in the energy and infrastructure sectors.

To meet growing project demands, the team is seeking an experienced geophysicist with extensive expertise in geotechnical consultancy. You must possess proven experience in managing geophysical projects from start to finish, as well as training and developing junior staff. Were looking for someone confident in their ability to hit the ground running and contribute to the teams growth. This position can be based in Sydney or Brisbane.

You must be able to travel and maintain a high level of physical capacity to perform strenuous fieldwork tasks.

What You'll Need

• 5+ years of experience as a geophysicist in a consultancy environment
• Proven ability in leading projects from start to finish, including client communication and business development
• A Geology, Geophysicsor Earth Science Degree
• Ability to complete strenuous fieldwork tasks
• Ability to travel when required
• A full Australian drivers license
• A valid visa with full working rights for Australia
• A desire to work outside with a love of rocks, soil and geology
• Good interpersonal skills
• Exceptional organisation and communication skills, both verbal and written
