Patch Personnel have partnered with one of Australia's leading specialist service providers to the oil and gas and mining sectors to source an experienced Infield Geophysicist.

**About the position**

The Infield Geophysicist reports to the Chief Geophysicist and will work primarily on FIFO rotation to support the field teams and operations for acquisition and processing of seismic data. This is an exciting opportunity to join stable and supportive and leader in seismic data working across mining and oil and gas sectors.

**Key Capabilities for the Infield Geopysicist include though are not limited to**:

- Stakeholder, relationship and performance management
- Manage events and remedial actions to mitigate future occurrences
- Good verbal and written communications, including with clients
- Good housekeeping skills (file management on computers and office/accommodation space)
- Appetite to learn and further develop personal skill set
- Quality Control management
- Processing of seismic and associated datasets
- Geophysics / Geology / Earth Sciences / Computing and IT experience
- Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines, by possessing a flexible yet logical mindset, with problem-solving capabilities
- Strong performance ethic with a focus on achieving results through effective teamwork

**About you**

To be successful in this position you will ideally have a Bachelor BSc in geophysics, computing, GIS or related discipline, or at least 5 years' experience in seismic land acquisition and processing, including vibroseis and nodal recording systems.

In addition to this it is essential to have a competency maintaining computer and network systems including Windows and Linux environments.

Well developed interpersonal skills will ensure a smooth transition into the and to build and maintain relationships with the field and client teams who include a diverse range of people both internal and external to the business.

Current C Class Manual Driver License and full right to work in Australia are essential to this position.
