About the role

Weldingmen is seeking a highly skilled Fabricator to join our team on a contract basis in Banksmeadow, Sydney NSW.

As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for the fabrication, welding and installation of a variety of handrails, balustades, staircases and structural steel. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise to the delivery of critical infrastructure projects.

What you'll be doing:

  • Fabricate, weld and install metal components and structures to the highest safety and quality standards
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly
  • Operate a variety of welding equipment, including MIG, TIG and stick welders.
  • Perform layout, cutting, fitting and finishing of metal parts
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, following all relevant health and safety procedures
  • Collaborate with your project managers, engineers and other trades to ensure timely and efficient project delivery

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Fabricator, preferably in the construction or engineering industries
  • Proficient in the use of MIG, TIG and stick welding equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
  • Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills
  • Relevant trade qualification in Fabrication is a plus

Please note: Only candidates based in Sydney (NSW) with a permanent or temporary visa will be considered. This is a mandatory requirement for the hiring process.
