**About the role**

Weldingmen is seeking a highly skilled Fabricator to join our team on a contract basis in Banksmeadow, NSW.

As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for the fabrication, welding and installation of a variety of handrails, balustades, staircases and structural steel. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise to the delivery of critical infrastructure projects.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Fabricate, weld and install metal components and structures to the highest safety and quality standards
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly
- Operate a variety of welding equipment, including MIG, TIG and stick welders.
- Perform layout, cutting, fitting and finishing of metal parts
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, following all relevant health and safety procedures
- Collaborate with your project managers, engineers and other trades to ensure timely and efficient project delivery

**What we're looking for**:

- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Fabricator, preferably in the construction or engineering industries
- Proficient in the use of MIG, TIG and stick welding equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
- Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills
- Relevant trade qualification in Fabrication is a plus
