Due to continued growth of our business, we have an exciting new opportunity for an Early Arrears Collections Officer.

What you will be doing

• Managing an arrears queue of work through outbound and inbound calls from customers and/ or business partners.

• Responding to written correspondence received from customers and/or our business partners.

• Identifying risk and ensuring matters are escalated promptly to help mitigate losses, complaints or poor customer/ business outcomes.

• Negotiating payment plans utilising active listening and negotiations skills, while also delivering an exceptional customer experience.

• Keeping clear, concise, and accurate customer records in the designated systems.

• Ensuring all actions meet regulatory requirements governed by the NCCP, Privacy Act, RG 165 and internal processes and procedures.

• Contributing to the success of the wider Retail Operations team, by supporting other areas from time to time.

Your background

• Experience working in the Financial Services/ Automotive Finance industry with a foundational knowledge of key principles.

• Relevant customer service or collections in a fast-paced responsible lending environment.

• Experience in a call centre environment using outbound dialler technology with the ability to be handling 40-60 calls a day, would be beneficial

• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with a high level of emotional intelligence is essential.

• A methodical, persistent and resilient mentality with a high level of attention to detail is required.

• Demonstrated ability to learn and or follow set processes.
