Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Up Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year
About Ferocia

We're the team behind Up, but under the hood, we're Ferocia - a passionate tech company driven by financial inclusion. Since 2011, we've been crafting innovative financial tools, starting with the digital platform for Bendigo Bank. We believe technology can empower everyone, from the advantaged to the disadvantaged, which is why Up was born.

Now, as part of the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank family, we combine the agility of a small company with the reach and stability of a major player. Together, we're carbon neutral, community-focused, and dedicated to high standards of corporate governance. Our mission? To leverage technology to help Australians move from financial stress and anxiety to a place of confidence and empowerment.

Want to join us? We'd love to hear from you

The role

We're looking for two passionate Senior Product Managers to join our team, working on some new and exciting initiatives for both Up and Bendigo Bank. This is a rare opportunity to join our team and have a real impact on the lives of people. We believe we can take Australians from a place where money is a cause of stress and anxiety, to a happier place where they feel empowered and in control of their finances.

You'll be joining our product practice, and together with a team of engineers and designers you will help to carve the path forward in building a new approach to deliver leading-edge technology and ways of working, across either Up - Australia's highest-rated banking app - or Bendigo Bank's web and mobile banking platforms. You may need to wear many hats and will be given the opportunity to own projects from start to finish - from idea to successfully shipped.

The roles we're hiring for are:

  • Senior Product Manager (Up): Bring your expertise to Australia's highest-rated banking app. With innovative features like Groups, 2Up, and Up Home, Up continues to redefine banking. You'll help us develop tools that reflect how people actually live, spend, and share money today.
  • Senior Product Manager (Connect): Trusted by millions of Bendigo Bank customers, you'll have the opportunity to reinvent web and mobile banking. You'll build relationships across the bank and be an evangelist for fast-paced, iterative innovation.

In either role, you will join a small but mighty team, working across multiple streams of work, and collaborating closely with cross-functional peers in Engineering and Product Design on innovative new features and user experience improvements. You will have the opportunity to meaningfully improve the banking experience for millions of Australians.

So on a normal day, you could be:

  • Defining requirements for a solution that is loved by our users.
  • Providing insight and suggestions to steer product roadmap and innovating within your product area by proposing ambitious features.
  • Communicating successfully within the project team and at multiple levels of management, building trust across the organisation.
  • Documenting ROI or impact for a given action, feature, or prioritisation decision.
  • Collaborating with the development team to facilitate the implementation of prioritised features and enhancements.
  • Identifying and coordinate the interdependencies among other programs and products.
  • Ensuring product features comply with risk, compliance and legal obligations.
  • Developing and maintaining timelines, ensuring delivery goals are understood and communicated.
  • Gathering inputs and feedback and suggest improvements to our product development delivery processes, and operational model.
  • Presenting to senior leadership teams.
What we're looking for
  • In-house experience designing and delivering end-to-end projects (from idea to successfully launched) - with at least ~5-7 years working with engineering teams. Ideally you'll have worked in a triad model in startups, scaleups, or other fast-moving environments that place a high priority on collaboration, innovation, and stepping outside your comfort zone.
  • Passion - harder to define, but we're looking for people who have a desire to push the limits, break the status quo, and be at the forefront of where technology is leading us. An eagerness to learn, expand your skills, and do the best work possible.
  • Project delivery experience - a must have is your ability to track progress and provide reporting and measurements of project effectiveness. You need to inspire and motivate teams as well as be able to communicate wins and challenges to key business leaders.
  • Strategic product lens - you're able to shift seamlessly between long-term strategic thinking and tactical detail, with a strong understanding of both customer and business needs.
  • Independence - ability to work with a certain level of ambiguity, and "get shit done" autonomously, but still know when to ask for help. You're proactive without waiting for direction from others, and can identify opportunities on your own, and bring them to your team.
  • The ability to attend our Melbourne CBD office at least six times a year for company days, plus some in-office days to start while you're getting settled in. We're currently only hiring in the Melbourne area for this reason.

#LI-Hybrid

Working at Ferocia

We have a hybrid work culture where people can attend the Ferocia office as much or as little as makes sense for them, but we are currently only hiring in Melbourne (or adjacent areas) as we still value physically getting together at least a half-dozen times per year.

We offer:

  • A small team of passionate people
  • Generous leave and parental policy
  • Flexible working schedule
  • Great city office and perks (rooftop, gym and personal trainer, games…)
  • Budget for personal development, training, and conferences
  • Employee Assistance Program via Sonder
  • Home loan rebates for our loans (conditions apply)
  • Ongoing equity grants (conditions apply)

Not quite ticking every box? Throw your hat in the ring anyway At Ferocia, we're all about shaking things up and rewriting the rules. We thrive on diversity and inclusion, and we wholeheartedly encourage you to step up and shine. Let us be the judge of your qualifications for this role – you just might surprise yourself
