Details: We are seeking a Senior Director to lead our Events and Community Engagement team at the National Arboretum Canberra and Stromlo Forest Park. In this role you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight, driving exceptional visitor experiences, innovative events, and strong community partnerships. This is a rare opportunity to shape visitor experiences, lead dynamic teams, and work across two of Canberra's most iconic destinations.

Based at the National Arboretum Canberra, this temporary, full-time role includes some after-hours and weekend work.

Eligibility/Other requirements:

  • Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Working with vulnerable people (WWVP) registration )
  • Driver's License is essential.
  • First Aid certificate is desirable.

Notes: This is a temporary position available from 15 December 2025 to 02 March 2026. This position is available to ACT Government officers and employees only. Duties may include some after hours and weekend work.
