ATHOL ROAD PRIMARY SCHOOL EARLY LEARNING CENTRE - KINDER EDUCATOR 46/52 AGREEMENT

Kindergarten Educator

Athol Road Primary School Kindergarten is located on the Athol Road Primary School site in the south eastern suburb of Springvale South.

The kindergarten currently employs 4 Kindergarten teachers, 4 Kindergarten educators and will be employing another educator to join the team part time.

At Athol Road Primary School Kindergarten, diversity is celebrated in an environment where children feel safe to express themselves and explore different realities.  The Kindergarten team work collaboratively to plan and deliver an indoor/outdoor learning program for all Kindergarten students.

In 2026 the Kindergarten sessions will operate:

  • 4 Year Kinder: Monday and Tuesday from 8.30am – 4.00pm
  • 3 Year Kinder: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9:00am - 2:00pm

Employment: 22.5 hours per week  

46/52 agreement (school holiday work is not required)

VECTEA 2020 Award rates apply (VECTEA 2025/2026 under negotiation)

  • 15 hours contact
  • 3.75 hours non-contact time
  • 0.5 hour staffing meeting
  • 3.25 hours lunch supervision (does not attract non-contact hours)

WORK HOURS

  • MONDAY-TUESDAY: 8.00am - 4.30pm
  • WEDNESDAY: 9:30am - 3:00pm

To be considered for this role you MUST have:

  • Certificate III in Early Childhood and Care
  • Knowledge of the NQF and EYLF
  • Current Working with Children Clearance
  • Police Record check
  • First aid, CPR and anaphylaxis training
  • Excellent communication skills
  • ability to work within a team environment
  • a passion for learning in order to make a difference in children's lives
