The Opportunity:

Westmead Hospital is seeking motivated General Medicine Registrars to provide inpatient and acute medical care within the BPT team.

This role is ideal for PGY4+ doctors with previous medical experience and those who have completed or are progressing toward Basic Physician Training.

Multiple roster options are available,  from ongoing weekend shifts to week-on/week-off nights or Monday-Friday day rosters, making this a highly flexible opportunity suited to your availability.

Clinical Environment:

  • High-acuity experience - manage diverse inpatient and acute medicine presentations
  • Teaching hospital environment - work alongside BPT and FRACP trainees
  • Career development - excellent exposure for doctors working toward FRACP
  • Flexible rostering - choice of weekday, weekend, or night rotations
  • Collaborative team - work with supportive consultants, registrars, and JMOs

Roster Options:

  • Weekdays: Monday-Friday
  • Nights: Week-on/week-off
  • Weekends: Ongoing weekend shifts
  • Dates: November February 2026

Eligibility Criteria:

  • AHPRA General Registration
  • PGY4+ with General Medicine experience
  • NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
  • Australian working rights
  • Willingness to complete local credentialing and onboarding
