Casual Medical Receptionist – Join Our Supportive Team

My GP Hub is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Medical Receptionist to join our busy and supportive team on a casual basis.

This role requires availability on weeknights (up to 9pm) and weekends. You will be working across both of our Tamworth locations:

  • My GP Hub – The Square
  • My GP Hub – The Hub

About the Role

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment while ensuring the smooth running of the practice. This is a varied and rewarding position, perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer phones, schedule, and manage patient appointments
  • Provide friendly and professional service to patients and visitors
  • Oversee the front desk and ensure smooth patient flow by communicating effectively with clinical staff
  • Process billings, payments, and receipting
  • Manage medical records, scanning, and filing confidential documents
  • General administration duties to support the practice

Essential Skills & Attributes:

  • Professional phone manner and excellent customer service skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid computer literacy (Best Practice and MS Office/Excel experience desirable but not essential)
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, manage time, and work under pressure
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Team player with a proactive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Quick learner with strong problem-solving skills

Pay: $29.00 – $33.45 per hour
