Due to growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior QA/QC to join the Saunders International team at our head office based in Meadowbrook, QLD on a permanent full-time basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior QA/QC goal is to ensure that all projects and company activities are carried out to the highest quality and safety standards.

  • Provide input and advice with the objective that projects are delivered on budget and on time and to the required quality.
  • Record, consolidate and deliver project related QA documentation requirements for our higher end projects.
  • Leading the Saunders Piping Solutions QA/QC team, effectively and efficiently to achieve its objectives.
  • Supports the Quality Manager.
  • Assist with IS09001 compliance, surveillance and auditing activities
  • Maintaining cooperative and harmonious relationships with all co-workers, client representatives and suppliers/contractors.

ABOUT YOU

  • Preferred 5 years' experience in QA/QC in pressure pipe fabrication and welding.
  • General WHS Induction for Construction (White card)
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Knowledge of pressure piping codes, welding standards, and NDT practices and the ability to review related codes, to determine compliant solutions.
  • Proven experience in workshop-based quality control for fabrication projects and site exposure.
  • Relevant qualifications in engineering, welding inspection, or quality management (e.g., AS 4041, CSWIP, IWI, or equivalent) are highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in documentation and reporting software.
  • Internal Audit Qualified.
  • External/Lead Assessor Qualified.
  • Other industry related qualifications such as NACE Painting Inspector are highly regarded.
  • Previous experience using industry Document Management Tools
  • Above average Excel and computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Being flexible and open to different approaches, ideas, and ways of working to meet changing needs.
