Forklift Operator

Join First Choice Couriers as a Forklift Operator and be an essential part of our logistics team. Your expertise in forklift operations will keep our goods moving smoothly and safely, ensuring timely and accurate handling of every item. If you're safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and ready to contribute to a cohesive team, this role is for you

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, and move goods within the warehouse and loading areas.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including conducting pre-operational checks and reporting any equipment issues.
  • Accurately scan and process freight to maintain updated checkpoints.
  • Coordinate with team members to manage inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Organise and store materials efficiently to maintain a clean and accessible warehouse environment.
  • Assis with general warehouse duties as required to support daily operations.
  • Contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to company safety standards and reporting hazards.

Skills

  • Proven forklift operation skills, with a valid forklift certification.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate processing and placement of all items.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team and with other departments.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse safety protocols and loading/unloading procedures.
  • Physical stamina, with the ability to lift and move items as required.
  • Dependability and time management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
