Unanderra is our nearly opened branch making it a total of 18 branches Australia wide.

**Purpose of the Role**:
Reporting into the Branch Manager, Service Supervisor is responsible for supervising and leading the day-to-day operations of service and parts activities for the Wollongong branch. The position is critical in ensuring the team complies with TMHA standards whilst focusing on achieving service levels and KPIs to assist with the growth for the branch.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Manage a dedicated branch team to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness by:

- ensuring Technicians complete all appropriate paperwork to invoice client for completed work.
- processing service orders and customer invoices generated by Sales, Service, Part & Hire
- providing technical support to the field service team.
- Organise transport for trucks that require work carried out in the workshop.
- Assist Technicians in obtaining required parts/sublets/consumables to enable smooth transition of service jobs.
- Ensure adherence to written procedures.
- Plan and oversee Technician training calendar.
- Maintaining labour utilisation, ensuring open jobs, Work in Progress (WIP) and closure of jobs in a timely manner and in accordance with TMHA KPIs.
- Ensure safe methods of work are operating, report any unsafe work practices or machinery and complete WHS documentation in accordance with TMH's policies and procedures.
- Develop individual targets in conjunction with subordinates and conduct regular performance appraisals.
- Manage parts for the branch including inventory levels and ensure that parts sales grow.
- Provide leadership by ensuring a level of service and parts meet and exceed internal and external customer expectations.
- Responding appropriately to and resolving branch enquiries, both internal and external.
- Conduct random visits to technicians at customer sites to ensure that the work is completed in accordance with TMH's quality standards policy and customer expectations.
- Ensure an adequate and timely flow of parts support to branch. Provide parts customer service and product support to critical stakeholders.
- Liaise and provide feedback in relation to branch parts regarding all aspects including inventory levels, sales and trends.
- Monitor and control the R&M costs within budget providing ongoing cost reduction efficiencies to the rental fleet.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Branch Manager as customer requirements and branch demands change with business

**Skills and experience**:

- Trade Qualification - Heavy Plant, Motor Mechanic, auto electrics or similar/relevant.
- Extensive experience as a technician in the Material Handling Industry or similar/relevant industry.
- Solid knowledge of Work Health Safety within a relevant/similar industry/environment
- Previous experience with spare parts and inventory control;
- Experience in mentoring and guiding teams to achieve outcomes
- Proven experience in a managing a team of employees, dispute resolution and dealing with performance and customer issues
- Strong leadership skills including people management and supervision;
- Strong skills in communication (written and oral) and negotiation with internal and external customers at all levels.
- Effective organisational and time management skills
