Glendun Group Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experience Fitter

About the Role

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Fitter to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, repairs, and installations of mechanical equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

· Install and assemble new mechanical equipment and machinery according to technical drawings and specifications.

· Align and fit parts using precision measuring instruments and tools.

· Modify, fabricate, or retrofit components as required.

· Conduct routine preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, pumps, conveyors, motors, and other plant equipment.

· Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out corrective actions efficiently.

· Replace or repair worn, faulty, or damaged mechanical parts.

· Test equipment after repair to ensure it operates according to manufacturer standards.

· Inspect machinery to detect malfunctions and determine required maintenance.

· Use diagnostic tools and techniques to identify mechanical issues.

· Record and report breakdown causes, and recommend long-term solutions.

· Adhere to workplace health and safety standards and company procedures.

· Ensure all equipment and maintenance activities comply with relevant Australian Standards and regulations.

· Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and toolbox meetings.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Trade Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitter and Turner / Maintenance Fitter) preferred.
  • Proven experience in mechanical fitting within [e.g. mining, industrial, or manufacturing] environments.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Current driver's license (essential).
