We are seeking an enthusiastic Diploma Educator to join our team at Church Street Children's Centre.

At our purpose-built centre in West Footscray, we provide a welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn.

Our play-based program builds children's confidence and skills, preparing them for a successful transition to school.

We encourage children to care for their environment and actively expand our knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.

This is an ongoing, full-time position, with a rotating roster between 7:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.

About you

You're reflective, curious and purpose-led, with a deep commitment to making a difference. 
You're open to learning and understanding the unique needs of every child. 
You're a critical thinker and collaborative team member. 
You have a drive to grow and improve continually. 
You value kindness and respect. 
You have great knowledge of the child safe standards and early childhood regulations. 
You hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent, a WWCC, Mandatory Reporting Certificate, Police Check and a first aid certificate. This role offers the opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities, including opening and closing the centre and being recognised as the Responsible Person.]

About the role

You'll create a safe and supportive environment where children can learn and grow. 
You'll develop and implement engaging learning experiences based on the ECMS pedagogical framework. 
You'll build strong relationships with children, families, the community and colleagues. 
You'll actively participate in a culture of reflection and continuous improvement. Support daily operations by managing open and close responsibilities and serving as the Responsible Person
