About the Role
We are seeking an experienced
Asset Manager
to lead a regional asset management team and oversee the ongoing performance, reliability, and improvement of essential power distribution assets across Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive Asset Management Plans in alignment with corporate frameworks and strategies.
- Drive operational performance to ensure reliable, safe, and cost-effective asset operation and maintenance.
- Lead and mentor a regional team of technical specialists, fostering a high-performing and safety-focused culture.
- Manage capital and operational budgets, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, safety regulations, and heritage agreements.
- Oversee asset data integrity across GIS, ENMAC, Electric Office, and Ellipse systems.
- Lead the analysis and reporting of asset performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate responses to emergency events and ensure effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide strategic insights into asset innovation, technology investment, and integration pathways.
About You
You are an accomplished leader with deep technical expertise in power distribution systems and a proven ability to manage complex asset portfolios. You bring a strong balance of strategic thinking, people leadership, and technical oversight.
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
- Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary asset management teams.
- Strong knowledge of WA regulatory frameworks and power system operations.
- Experience across design, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of distribution networks.
- Demonstrated capability in contract management, vendor relations, and financial performance oversight.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
