ER Specialist - Projects & Proactive Compliance

Shape the Future of Work: Proactive ER Compliance & Project Lead.

A highly regarded ASX-listed organisation is seeking a commercially pragmatic HR professional to drive compliance excellence across the Group. As a newly created role, you will be instrumental in completing our shift from reactive compliance to a
proactive, project-based risk management model
. You will own the compliance plan and translate the ever-evolving regulatory landscape into tangible business solutions.

This is a great role for professionals who are motivated by
research, development, and project delivery
, not daily case management.

The Role: Your Proactive Focus

This is a dedicated, ring-fenced role focused on
proactive risk mitigation
and capability uplift across the organisation.

  • Compliance Ownership:
    Own the proactive compliance plan
for the Group. Monitor the external regulatory landscape (Australia, NZ, Singapore) and lead the response to key changes (e.g., Fair Work Act updates, psychosocial risk, wage theft laws).
  • Risk-Based Auditing:
    Design and lead
    internal compliance programs and audits
    using
    case data and trends
to target high-risk areas and measure effectiveness.
  • Tool & Framework Development:
Lead projects to develop and implement
scalable ER tools, guidance materials, and policies
that build consistency and uplift manager capability across the business units.
  • Change Delivery:
Support organisational transformation and change programs by owning the ER stream of work, ensuring all documentation and implementation plans are clear, fit-for-purpose, and compliant.

You Bring: The Essential Skills

  • ER Foundation & Project Focus:
    Strong foundational knowledge of
    Australian and NZ employment law
and ER principles is required. Crucially, you must demonstrate capability in
    designing and delivering projects
    with cross-functional stakeholder involvement.
  • Compliance Thinking:
    You take a
    proactive, systems-based approach
to identifying and mitigating risk, moving beyond simply "ticking the box".
  • Business Partnership:
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to
    partner with leaders
across corporate and operational environments to influence outcomes and close capability gaps.
  • Flexibility:
We are open to candidates interested in a
    4-day work week
and those seeking a return to the workforce, provided they possess the required research and project-based experience.

If you have a future-focused, adaptable mindset and are passionate about leveraging project management to build robust, compliant ER frameworks, apply today. For a confidential chat contact Emma Egan
