The City of Melville is seeking dedicated Aquatic Service Officers to join our team and help keep our aquatic facilities safe, welcoming and enjoyable for everyone.

In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of patrons in and around our pools, responding promptly to emergencies and delivering excellent customer service. You'll also support facility operations, assist with water quality monitoring and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the centre.

Salary: Level 1-3 $41.15 to $44.76 per hour (+12.5% weekend loading) + 12% Super

Employment Type: Casual

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing vigilant pool supervision to ensure patron safety
  • Responding to emergencies and applying First Aid, CPR and oxygen resuscitation within your competency
  • Assisting with water quality testing and facility maintenance tasks
  • Supporting Duty Officers and contributing to continuous improvement of systems and safety processes
  • Promoting a positive and proactive safety culture while delivering great customer service

What We're Looking For

  • Current Pool Lifeguard License
  • Current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid Certificate
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first approach
  • Good time management, organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Aquatic Technical Operator (Pool Operator) Qualification and/or previous lifeguard experience highly desirable
