Picture this: you're leading the charge in a Cloud Engineering squad, nailing the Cloud Adoption and uptake to crank out real value for a government agency. Based in Sydney or Melbourne with remote or hybrid possible if it fits the op needs, you'll team up with business crews, top notch cloud architects and tech partners to deliver rock-solid Azure setups – think high-avail, secure, and scalable, all while ticking off those strict gov policies and ISM standards.

You'll coordinate killer Azure infra designs, amp up IaC with ARM, Bicep, or Terraform, and mentor the team on best practices for networking, storage, and security. Plus, you'll audit deployments for cost smarts and risk dodges, shape governance frameworks, and turn biz needs into bulletproof solutions. It's all about resilience and performance in a fed context – no fluff, just results.

Essential criteria

  • Solid quals in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar real-world experience.
  • 5+ years cloud engineering, including 3+ years hands-on with Azure in enterprise or gov environments.
  • Track record designing Azure goodies like VMs, App Services, Functions, Active Directory, and DevOps.
  • IaC
    expertise using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform for Azure.
  • Skills in container orchestration via Azure Kubernetes Service and virtual networking.
  • Know-how of fed gov cloud frameworks, ISM security, and compliance rules.
  • Ace at scripting with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python for cloud automation.

Desirable criteria

  • Agile and DevOps experience in gov settings.
  • Up on emerging cloud trends, especially AI/ML hooks into Azure.
  • Hands-on with cloud migrations for federal government landscapes
