Role Overview

The Azure Integration Architect will lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and maintainable integration solutions using Microsoft Azure services. This role is pivotal in enabling seamless communication between enterprise systems, ensuring data consistency, and supporting digital transformation initiatives across sectors such as financial services, retail and consumer, and public sector.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

Develop integration strategies using Azure services: Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, Azure Functions.

Define and enforce integration patterns (e.g., pub-sub, request-reply, event-driven).

Design secure RESTful APIs and manage API lifecycle via APIM policies.

Development & Implementation

Build cloud-native applications using C# (.NET Core), JSON, and Azure resources (Key Vault, Storage Accounts).

Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for automated deployments.

Lead the development of event-driven architectures and EDI workflows (X12, EDIFACT).

Collaboration & Leadership

Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Provide technical guidance to developers and DevOps teams.

Coordinate with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure solution alignment.

Monitoring & Optimization

Set up monitoring systems using Azure Monitor and Application Insights.

Troubleshoot integration issues and optimize performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Expertise

  • 8+ years in system integration and solution architecture.
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with Azure Integration Services.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript for APIM policies and serverless functions.
  • Strong understanding of REST/SOAP, JSON/XML, OAuth2, JWT.

Certifications

  • Azure Solution Architect
  • Azure Developer
  • Azure Administrator

Soft Skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver complex solutions under pressure.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Desirable Experience

  • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 APIs and integration connectors.
  • Experience in microservices architecture and containerization.
  • Exposure to Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
  • Knowledge of secure DevOps practices and infrastructure automation (ARM templates, PowerShell).
