About The Role
We are looking for a Communications Specialist to join the Corporate Affairs team on a permanent, full time basis.
As a Communications Specialist at Elders, you'll play a key role in developing and delivering impactful internal and external communications that support Elders and its broader entity structure. A national role, you'll help drive engagement, strengthen brand presence, and support initiatives aligned with Elders' strategic priorities and values. Our Corporate Affairs team is committed to Elders' mission 'Advancing Australian agriculture, strengthening communities'.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement internal and external communication strategies, plans, and content aligned with Elders' brand and business objectives.
- Support the delivery of internal communications initiatives, including executive updates, intranet content, newsletters, and business announcements.
- Prepare and edit written materials such as media releases, blogs, social media content, and corporate presentations.
- Collaborate across the business to ensure consistent, accurate, and engaging communication that supports business priorities.
- Contribute to sponsorship, community engagement, and PR activities, including supporting crisis communication responses when required.
- Proactively review communication processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and engagement.
- Support communication elements of marketing campaigns and sales activities, driving business growth.
- Work closely with the digital marketing team to align messaging across all platforms and leverage owned and earned media channels.
About You
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a communications role, developing and delivering content across multiple platforms and audiences.
- Tertiary qualification in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related discipline.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with strong attention to detail.
- Highly organised with strong time management and prioritisation abilities.
- Proven ability to build relationships and partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of digital and traditional communication channels and best practice principles.
- Professional, proactive, and values-driven, with a passion for delivering high-quality, effective communications that support business goals.
- Experience in or familiarity with the Australian agricultural industry would be highly regarded.
