POSITION OVERVIEW
The Solutions Architect role at PMY Technologies provides technical leadership to our world-class, data-driven sporting clients, including major global sports leagues, top sports, international franchises, and national governing bodies. You will design and deliver integrated technology solutions across cloud platforms, applications, and customer-facing systems that power performance, participation, fan engagement, and major events.
Strong technical expertise in cloud, data and/or solutions architecture and integration is essential, this role also focuses on end-to-end solution design, stakeholder engagement, and the alignment of technology strategies with business outcomes.
As a Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in defining scalable, secure, and innovative architectures, guiding delivery teams, and shaping PMY's technology vision. Your leadership will ensure that every solution we deliver is robust, future-proof, and adds measurable value to our clients' growth and innovation strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with stakeholders to map business needs, define requirements, and translate them into scalable, secure technology solutions.
- Build strong relationships with business and technical teams to ensure adoption and success of solutions.
- Aligning technology solutions across PMY's wider technology expertise with client business goals.
- Support business development initiatives by participating in client workshops, proposals, pitches and presentations.
Solution Architecture & Design
- Design solutions across cloud platforms, applications, and integrations, ensuring alignment with business strategy and technical best practices.
- Deliver clear architectural documentation, diagrams, and roadmaps to guide implementation teams.
- Contribute to PMY's solution architecture standards, reusable design patterns, and governance frameworks.
Technical Leadership & Delivery
- Provide technical leadership during solution delivery, ensuring adherence to design principles and challenging deviations.
- Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and vendors to integrate platforms, applications, and data systems effectively.
- Mentor and coach colleagues and delivery teams to build on technical excellence.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Act as a trusted advisor, recommending emerging technologies and innovative approaches to meet client objectives.
Health & Safety
- Contribute to a safe and healthy workplace, in accordance with PMY's Occupational Health and Safety Policies and relevant legislative requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years in technical design, solutions architecture, or cloud architecture roles.
- Strong knowledge of cloud services, architectures, and best practices across AWS, Azure, and GCP (certifications preferred).
- Proven ability to design and deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective technology solutions.
- Familiarity with IAM, SSO, and security best practices in cloud and application environments.
- Knowledge of architectural frameworks, governance practices, and solution design methodologies.
- Hands-on expertise with modern development frameworks, containers, and microservices.
- Experience integrating SaaS platforms, APIs, and enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern engineering workflows.
- Experience designing solutions in data-driven environments (analytics, data platforms, or integration projects).
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to influence decisions.
- Prior experience working with international teams or clients in sports, entertainment, or events industries.
- Exposure to CRM, fan engagement, or event technology platforms.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelor's degree computer science, technology, a related field or equivalent practical experience.
